A letter from the heart,
And so, another year has passed. 2024 was a wonderful year, rich in moments to remember, but also full of challenges. And 2025 looks set to be just as intense! There's no danger of boredom, and that's just as well! The most important thing is to keep moving forward, to create your own projects and to keep your head full of positive ideas. The rest will inevitably follow.
A quick update on the real estate market in 2024: the year was marked by a clear slowdown, with a vertiginous drop in the number of transactions across the country. Rising interest rates and tighter credit conditions dampened demand. Prices fell slightly in some regions, but remained relatively stable in tense areas, while declining in less attractive sectors. Rental investors were cautious, partly due to increasing regulations on energy renovation. Not to mention the political turmoil in France and the unsettling geopolitical situation worldwide...
What about 2025? Forecasts point to a market still under pressure. Interest rates may stabilize, but financial constraints for buyers will remain high. Rural areas and medium-sized towns could, however, benefit from improved affordability. As for major cities, they will continue to feel the effects of moderate demand. On the other hand, the energy renovation and sustainable real estate sector is set to grow, supported by public policies and heightened awareness of environmental issues. Whatever happens, we need to stay the course, be daring and persevere in order to move forward. Our mindset has to change, adapt, and make us realize that every obstacle to the realization of our cherished projects can be overcome.
On behalf of myself and the entire Square's International team, we would like to offer you, our valued customers, our very best wishes for the new year 2025. May this year bring you success, happiness and achievement in all your projects.
Know that we remain at your side to continue bringing your dreams to life. And as I always say, Sky is the limit!
With all my gratitude,
Anne-Sophie
